It's Finally Here!
We are very excited to announce that we will begin taking sales as of Thanksgiving Day. We are still working out some of the small customizations but feel that we are ready. As we launch our official grand opening on Thanksgiving Day, we want to set the tone of being a company that wants to give back in a big way. Starting November 23rd, our store will open and we will donate 50% of profits from candle sales to the Southern Poverty Law Center through Monday, November 27th*.
Important info about our Grand Opening:
We are going to be receiving our mass production machines in the next few weeks. We have been waiting for both the final machines and shipping boxes to ship them. In that time we have been very busy making candles. Therefore, we will be selling these candles as Second Quality since we made slight changes to our final production molds. The Crosses and 7 Knob candles remain unchanged but the Male Figure Candles & Female Figure Candles have been improved slightly. We added about 1/4 inch to the base of them and the female candles posture was also changed slightly. These candles are by no means inferior and even as second quality are superior to others available on the market.
About Southern Poverty Law Center
The SPLC is a decades old agency “dedicated to fighting hate and bigotry and to seeking justice for the most vulnerable members of our society. Using litigation, education, and other forms of advocacy, the SPLC works toward the day when the ideals of equal justice and equal opportunity will be a reality”.
This agency has taken up issues such as Criminal Justice Reform, Hate and Extremism, Immigrant Justice, Children’s rights, Economic Justice and LGBT rights. We hope you’ll join us in raising money to help fight injustice.
Why SPLC Is Important
From the SPLC Web site, they “stand up for the powerless, the exploited and other victims of discrimination and hate.” And for more than four decades, they’ve won landmark cases that brought systemic reforms in the Deep South.
“We’ve toppled remnants of Jim Crow segregation and destroyed violent white supremacist groups. We’ve shattered barriers to equality for women, vulnerable children, the LGBT community and the disabled. We’ve protected migrant workers and immigrants from abuse, ensured the humane treatment of prisoners, reformed juvenile justice practices, and more.”
These are the many reasons is why we support their activities.
